Paul Silva

Head Coach

Boys Varsity Football

Coach Silva has worked at Stevens High School as a program assistant since 2006. He currently oversees the online learning opportunities for students.

He started coaching football in 1990 with the Claremont Youth Football Association, and then went on to served as defensive coordinator for the undefeated Claremont Middle School team in 2001.

In 2002 he was hired by Stevens High School as defensive coordinator for a program that was relegated to junior varsity status and remained in that capacity for two years and helped bring varsity football back to Stevens.

With varsity football returning in 2004 Coach Silva remained in his position as defensive coordinator through 2007. During that time the Cardinals played for the Division 5 state championship in just the second year back as a varsity program.

In 2008 he was promoted to associate head coach and remained in that position until he took over the Stevens High School football program as head coach in 2011.  As head coach he has led the Cardinals to the Division 5 semi-finals in 2012 and in 2013 he led his team to a Western Conference championship and a Division 3 state championship game appearance.

After Stevens High School's successful 2013 run Coach Silva was named to the New Hampshire coaching staff for the Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl Game, serving as defensive coordinator in a 43-0 shutout victory over Vermont.

Stevens football has had a player selected to the CHaD East-West All-Star Game, or the Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl Game in each of the past five seasons.

Since 2007 Paul has also serves as the Stevens Cardinal's head varsity baseball coach and boys reserve basketball coach.
